Netflix drama 'Angry People' (original BEEF) won eight awards, including best picture and best actor and best actress, at the U.S. Emmy Awards.

Korean-American director Lee Sung-jin won the best director and writer award, and Korean-American Steve Yeon won the best actor award. Chinese-Vietnamese actor Ally Wong won the best actress award, and eight awards in total, including casting, costume and editing awards.

"Angry People" is a black comedy genre that contains the process of the conflict between the protagonists Danny and Amy, which began with a minor dispute while driving, leading to an extreme fight.

The 10-episode series was a global hit, making it one of the top 10 Netflix viewership spots for five consecutive weeks right after its release in April last year.
