The winners of the 2022 Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards have been announced.

Marking its 13th anniversary this year, the Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards were organized to promote the pride of popular culture and arts people and to enhance their social status in the popular culture and arts industry.

Coach Park Chan-wook and the late Kang Soo-yeon were honored with the night of the Eungwan Order of Culture (grade 2).

Heo Young-man, who contributed to the development of popular culture and arts as the godfather of Korean comics such as "Sikgaek," "Tazza" and "Gakshital," Park Jin-sook, a drama writer who wrote TV dramas for 24 years, and Song Kang-ho, who won Korea's first Cannes Film Festival Best Actor through "Broker."

Five cultural medals, six presidential commendations, eight prime minister commendations, and 10 Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism commendations were selected.
