The 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) has officially introduced candidates for 12 months!

BLACKPINK has been identified as the leading K-pop artist nominated for the best video. The award-winning work is chosen exclusively by MTV, so there is no fan vote for that class.

BLACKPINK was nominated for a total of four categories, including Best Video. The group added Biggest Fans, Best Metaverse Performance and Best K-Pop.

Meanwhile, BTS and SEVENTEEN were nominated in three categories, respectively. BTS was nominated for Biggest Fans, Best Metaverse Performance ("Butter" and "Permission to Dance" Minecraft Live) and Best K-Pop.

TXT has been additionally nominated to Best Asia Act as Korea's only consultant in the class.

Finally, the best Okpop candidates for this 12 months are BLACKPINK, BTS, ITZY, SEVENTEEN, TWICE, and BLACKPINK's Lisa.

The 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards will be broadcast live on November 13 in Dusseldorf, Germany, and voting will be held on the official website until November 9 at 11:59 p.m. CET.
