NCT’s Doyoung continued his activities even after enlisting in the military on the 8th, releasing a new single titled “Promise.”

The single contains two tracks — the title song “늦은 말 (Promise)” and “Whistle (Feat. Belle of KISS OF LIFE)”.

The music video, released simultaneously via the SMTOWN YouTube channel, incorporates symbolic elements such as a clover pot and seasonal transitions to represent a promise to fans.

The title track begins with minimalist piano, then expands with string arrangements in the latter half, enhancing the emotional depth, with lyrics written by Doyoung himself.

The second track “Whistle” is an R&B-based ballad layered with jazz guitar, where Doyoung and Belle’s vocals interact like a dialogue, amplifying a sense of tender excitement.
