Sewol Ferry Diver Film ‘Tiger of the Sea’ to Hit Theaters in June

The film 'Tiger of the Sea' is set to be released on June 25.
It is a moving drama based on the true story of late diver Kim Kwan-hong, who volunteered in rescue efforts during the Sewol ferry disaster.
Based on the nonfiction novel It’s a Lie by author Kim Tak-hwan, the film highlights the dedication and trauma experienced by civilian divers.
The film won the 4.16 Foundation’s script competition in 2021 and sold out all screenings at the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival.
Crowdfunding is currently underway on Tumblbug until May 18 to support its wider release.
