Korean snacks and beverages are gaining global popularity, fueled by the K-Culture wave, leading to a significant surge in export revenues.

According to the Korea Customs Service, snack exports from January to November last year increased by 16.5% year-on-year, reaching $700 million and surpassing 1 trillion won for the first time.
Beverage exports also rose by 14.9% to $600 million, with major export markets including China, the United States, and Vietnam. Combined exports of snacks and beverages amounted to $1.3 billion, projected to exceed 2 trillion won annually.
A video titled 'Snack Wars', featuring Rosé comparing Korean and British snacks, garnered 2.7 million views in just three weeks, while Lee Jung-jae of 'Squid Game' fame also appeared on the same channel, tasting Korean snacks and beverages.
This highlights how domestic snack and beverage companies are leveraging the K-Culture wave to focus on international markets over the stagnant domestic market.
