Reborn as a 'Winter Sonata' Movie "Released in Japan in 2025"

The drama "Winter Sonata," which aired on KBS 2TV in 2002, will be released as a movie in Japan.
Fan Entertainment said it is editing the drama to mark the 20th anniversary of its screening in Japan, with the goal of releasing it in the winter of 2025.
The film will improve the original quality to 4K and re-record the songs in an orchestral version.
Director Yoon Seok-ho and music director Lee Ji-soo will participate in the production.
Meanwhile, Winter Sonata became very popular in Japan in 2003, creating a Korean Wave craze.
