The documentary "Korean Woman" depicts the hardships and toughness of Korean women who worked in Japanese spinning factories in the 1910s and 50s.

The film was based on testimony from Shin Nam-sook, Kim Soon-ja, and Kim Sang-nam, and existing research, who worked at a factory at a young age and suffered extreme exploitation and violence.
However, they learned, resisted, and fought against unfair treatment.
Director Lee Won-sik tried to convey hope and comfort to modern audiences by painting their lives from the perspective of positivity and victory.
